AI is everywhere. And if you’re involved in a probate, trust, or estate dispute, there’s a good chance you’ve already wondered whether you should be using it to help with your case.

It’s a fair question.  One we now routinely hear from clients. The answer is yes, AI can help. But only if you use it the right way. That’s why we’re excited to release a new free resource for clients and anyone else navigating an Arizona probate or trust matter: the Berk Law Group AI Client Tipsheet.

You can access it here: https://berklawgroup.com/tools/ai-client-tipsheet/

Why we built it

Public AI tools are powerful, but they weren’t designed with your confidentiality in mind. When you paste sensitive facts about your case into a free chatbot, that information may be stored, reviewed, or even used to train the model. In a legal dispute, that’s a serious problem.  It can compromise your privacy and, in some situations, jeopardize attorney-client privilege.

Most people don’t realize they’re taking that risk. The Tipsheet is our way of helping you avoid it.

How we think about AI at Berk Law Group

At our firm, AI is a tool.  A supplement to human review and attorney judgment, never a substitute. It helps us work more efficiently, spot patterns in large sets of documents, and prepare more thoroughly. But every document is reviewed by a human, and every legal decision is made by an actual attorney.

The framework we share with clients is simple:  AI alone is fast, but it can be wrong and isn’t always confidential. An attorney alone brings judgment and protection, but may be less efficient. The best outcomes come from AI, attorney, and client working together.

What’s in the Tipsheet

The Tipsheet is a short, practical guide covering the things we want every client to know before using AI in connection with a dispute, including:

  • How to use AI productively — organizing information, building timelines, and preparing questions for your attorney.
  • Why you should never rely on AI for legal advice or assume its output is accurate.
  • How to protect your confidentiality by avoiding public tools for sensitive case facts.
  • What to look for in a secure, enterprise-grade platform, and which settings to disable so your inputs aren’t used to train a model.
  • How to combine AI with your attorney’s guidance to get better outcomes, not worse ones.

It’s designed to be read in a few minutes and used as a quick reference throughout your case.
