CFPB Director Rohit Chopra to do fireside chat with Professor Chris Peterson at conference on October 11, 2024.

The Utah Project on Antitrust and Consumer Protection is hosting a free conference open to the public on the future of consumer financial services law on October 11, 2024 from 8 am until 4 pm, MT. 

The title of the conference is “From AI to Junk Fees to Public Health: The Future of Consumer Financial Services Law.”  The conference will be held at the University of Utah’s S.J. Quinney College of Law in Salt Lake City and will be streamed live.  

The conference will feature CFPB Director Rohit Chopra as the keynote speaker in a fireside chat with Professor Chris Peterson of the Utah College of Law.  

Professor Peterson will also be moderating a panel entitled “When every business is a bank: The consumer protection implications of embedded finance” in which one of the participants will be Seth Frotman, General Counsel of the CFPB.
