We are proud to announce that Amanda Tynan has been selected as a recipient of the Burton Award for Distinguished Legal Writing, widely regarded as the most prestigious honor in legal writing.

Law schools across the country compete for this distinction.  Each school may submit only one nominee, and from that national pool the award committee selects just fifteen winners.  Amanda’s selection places her among the top legal writers in the country for her graduating class.

The announcement was made by Vermont Law and Graduate School, which noted that its students have won the Burton Award seven times in the past thirteen years, a testament to the rigor of its legal writing program.

Why This Matters

Amanda R. TynanAt HHMR, we value precision, clarity, and disciplined legal analysis.  Legal writing is not ornamental.  It is advocacy. It is strategy.  It is how judges and arbitrators are persuaded and how doctrine develops.

Amanda’s recognition reflects the caliber of intellectual rigor she brings to her work every day.  We are proud to have her on our team and congratulate her on this national honor.
