Partner JR Lanis and Bryan Wasser led a team that included Associates Richard Reis and Alexander Davis as they represented media, entertainment, technology and onchain treasury company GameSquare in its acquisition of TubeBuddy, an AI-enabled software and workflow platform for creators and brands who want to focus on optimizing YouTube channel performance and audience growth, from BENlabs.

With the addition of TubeBuddy, Game Square will have:

  • an AI enabled software platform with proven tools embedded into creator workflows
  • first-party creator and channel data capabilities
  • powerful cross-platform brand and performance marketing solutions
  • new integration opportunities across GameSquare’s media, esports, and creator network

Under the agreement, GameSquare acquired the assets of the TubeBuddy business, while GameSquare issued five million shares of its newly designated Series A-2 Preferred Stock to BENlabs.
