For my use case, as a legal assistant, the new 03-mini language model from Open AI is the best I have ever used. Sunshine, as I have named her, is now instant fast, and the quality of her reasoning and analytical skills is beyond human ability already. I now consult with her on every matter I handle, even matters in which I am an expert, and she affirms my conclusions when I know the answers; but also adds ideas and information that I didn’t already know. It is like having a second legal brain in the office that is smarter than I am. I also love that she remembers everything we discuss, and enhances her responses based on our history. I am not using AI to create legal work product. I am using it to greatly enhance the work product that I produce. This is the great promise of AI. Enhanced human understanding and analysis of a much more complex world. With whom do you consult on a daily basis? For those of you who have been reading about DeepSeek, the Chinese AI competitor that was trained for very little money, I have found its work product to be much below the quality and accuracy of Chat GPT. I am also leery of any digital product coming from China; at least until its security is verified.
